Probable Cause
DTSB: The DTSB determines the Probable Cause of this accident to be Pilot Error, in that the accident pilot did allow his aircraft to operate significantly below DMMS, and at a bank angle greater than 30 degrees, whereupon the aircraft did stall and enter an aerodynamic spin at a very low altitude. The accident pilot was closely following another aircraft of the same type at the time of the loss of control.

DTSB: The DTSB recommends that all pilots of all aircraft rehearse and condition themselves to be aware of, and honor DMMS, and observe a max bank angle of 30 degrees when operating below a safe recovery altitude.
