Probable Cause
DTSB: Pending. The Doctor/Owner accident pilot had only recently purchased the aircraft, and had very little time in it. The KVDF weather observation was (8:15 am) KVDF 03121215Z AUTO 05004KT 10SM OVC005 26/29 2996. The ADSb data shows a takeoff from runway 05 and an immediate left hand turn in an apparent attempt to remain in VMC conditions. The aircraft was likely flown well below DMMS speed while in turning flight. The wreckage at the crash site was indicative of a stall/spin and vertical impact. The aircraft exploded upon impact, and all aircraft components were located within a very small radius circle.
