Probable Cause
DTSB: The DTSB determines the Probable Cause of this accident to be Pilot Error, in that the pilot allowed the aircraft to be slowed and stalled at an altitude too low to effect a standard stall recovery. The impact signature was consistent with a stall spin type impact. The aircraft had been regularly flown and had no known mechanical discrepancies.

Recommendation
DTSB: The DTSB recommends all pilots of all aircraft to be very conscious of DMMS and attain it as soon as possible after takeoff, and maintain it at all times in flight. The DTSB recommends that when less than 2500 AGL, pilot not bank more than 30 degrees, and not allow flight below DMMS speed.
