Probable Cause
DTSB: Pending. Accident pilot flew into weather. Early unofficial reports state the the aircraft reported engine trouble while operating in the area of terrain situated above the single engine service ceiling for the accident aircraft. It is likely that the aircraft encountered some form of airframe ice in conjunction with a loss of thrust on one engine, forcing an emergency off field landing in very dangerous terrain. All three occupants were found still inside the main cabin of the aircraft.
