DTSB: Pending. Off field landing. An engine abnormal in flight forced the pilot to make an emergency landing off field. A Small fire in engine compartment was started when the aircraft impacted a tree during landing roll out. The fire was quickly extinguished, and the aircraft was largely intact. The pilot was seen to be alive and alert during the landing.
