Probable Cause
DTSB: Pending. Accident aircraft departed against flow of traffic from KLMO causing a Cessna 172 on base, N927TS, to divert. Aircraft did not respond to repeated calls from 172 pilot. On departing the pattern, the 172 pilot commented “There’s someone on upwind for 29 who’s being really dangerous”. Accident aircraft flew an almost 3 hour erratic path around mountainous terrain before crashing.
